  Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace; Streams of mercy, never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it, Mount of Thy redeeming love.   My refuge is the God of love; Why do my foes insult and cry, “Fly like a timorous, trembling dove, To distant woods or mountains fly?” If government be all destroyed, That firm foundation of our peace, And violence make justice void, Where shall the righteous seek redress?
